DAYBREAK

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 15, 2026

Daybreak is a personal life and finance tracker. This policy is short because the app is built to keep your data on your device and to collect as little as possible.

What we collect

Daybreak has no user accounts, no login, no analytics, and no advertising. The tasks, reminders, health and sleep scores, workouts, notes, and manual financial entries you create are stored only on your device. We cannot see, access, or recover them.

Connecting a bank (optional)

If you choose to link a financial institution, Daybreak uses Plaid to establish a secure, read-only connection. Your bank login happens entirely on your institution's own page through Plaid — Daybreak never sees, receives, or stores your banking username or password.

Once connected, Daybreak retrieves your account balances and transactions to display your budgets, spending, and savings. This financial data is shown on your device and is not stored on our servers. The only item we retain is a read-only access token that lets the connection refresh; it is stored encrypted and is deleted the moment you disconnect the institution. All access is read-only — Daybreak cannot move money.

How your data is protected

Your controls

Third parties

Daybreak relies on Plaid for bank connectivity and Cloudflare to operate its secure backend. These providers process data only as needed to deliver those functions. We do not share your data with anyone for advertising or marketing.

Children

Daybreak is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be posted here with an updated date above.
